International Women's Day - Total Guide to Bath interview with Sandra
Taking time to reflect on some of the wonderful women who inspire me has truly been a nourishing experience!
Mar 8, 2022

The gallery at Shires Yard is now permanently closed and we're taking a moment to reflect on an extraordinary year. This space has been filled with colour, conversation, creativity, and the work of so many talented artists-each exhibition, event, and encounter captured in these memories.
From vibrant group shows to intimate viewing rooms, from new discoveries to returning favourites, it has been a gallery where art connected us all. We're deeply grateful to every artist, collector, and visitor who stepped through our doors and became part of the Sandra Higgins Art story.
While we say goodbye to this chapter, it's far from the end.
Change brings opportunity, and the future of SANDRA HIGGINS ART is full of exciting possibilities-new spaces, new collaborations, and new ways to continue supporting and sharing exceptional contemporary art.
Thank you for being part of the journey so far and for your kind comments about enjoying the exhibitions and your experiences at the gallery which are much appreciated. We have had a wonderful time working with the many talented artists collaborating with us to bring a high level of contemporary art to Bath.
Now, join us as the next chapter for SANDRA HIGGINS ART begins with our online gallery at www.sandrahiggins.art where you can view works by the gallery artists, purchase items from ART STOP and follow our future programme, projects and artist mentoring schedule.
Follow our artist studio visits and interviews coming soon in the Discover Art Now blog to be launched in June. We are always available for private appointments to discuss and source artwork for your home or office. Email:sandra@sandrahiggins.com

Louisa Burnett-Hall will be in the gallery on Sunday 1st February, welcoming conversation and sharing the inspirations behind her artistic practice.
Louisa Burnett-Hall sketches rivers, pools and coastlines on site, then transforms those observations in the studio using ink and acrylic, pouring and marking the surface to move between abstraction and the real.
She now incorporates satellite imagery and ocean data, creating a visual language that reflects climate change, our place in nature and the urgency of caring for the planet.
Louisa Burnett-Hall is a British-born artist who moved to France after obtaining a Fine Art MA from Edinburgh University.
Awarded with the Médaille de la Ville de Paris, she exhibits widely in France, the UK, Belgium and China. She lives and works in Paris.

THE PLACE TO BE
We are excited to be hosting a collaborative event, 'The Place To Be' created by Sandra Higgins and The Art Circle to celebrate artists, creators, collectors and art lovers in the city of Bath.
We are eager to shine a light on how vital contemporary art and the artists of today are to the fabric and character of Bath, a city known for its historic and Georgian beauty, but equally alive with new creative energy. This event is our way of celebrating that living, evolving culture in a festive, joyful way.
