Richard Walker is an established British painter/printmaker exhibiting internationally since 1978.
He studied at Kingston and Camberwell art schools and received a Masters in Printmaking at Chelsea.
Richard's work is in many public and private collections and he has numerous one person shows in the UK, Germany, Italy and the USA. He is currently working for an exhibition in Paris, later in 2021.
As well as a landscape themed project with Sandra Higgins, Richard is working on a series called ‘American Prayer’ celebrating writers and musicians ranging from Walt Whitman to John Cage. These current themes combine location, time, space, text and memory. Influences include De Chirico, Klee, Tàpies and Kiefer.
